ABOUT ME

Rose Monique Smith, a Connecticut native, has a strong passion to help others let their inner and outer beauty radiate.

Rose is a freelance makeup artist with over 19 years of experience in the beauty industry. She began her journey as an Independent Consultant with Mary Kay, where she discovered her passion for helping women feel beautiful inside and out. Since 2006, Rose has dedicated her talents to giving back to the community in North Carolina and her hometown of Connecticut. She has volunteered her services at numerous events, supporting young girls and women, including those from homeless and low-income backgrounds, to enhance their confidence and beauty.

In 2013, during a challenging period in her life, Rose made the selfless decision to travel to Utica, NY, to attend her close friend’s wedding and provide makeup services at no cost. That weekend, both her friend and the wedding photographer encouraged her to turn her passion into a business. Initially hesitant, as she preferred offering her services for free to help others achieve their desired look, Rose returned to Charlotte and sought guidance through prayer. Her prayers were answered, leading her to proudly launch her makeup artistry business. She began offering affordable luxury services for brides, bridal parties, proms, birthdays, photo shoots, fashion shows, and more. Rose was also fortunate to receive support from web and graphic designer Harold Bridgeforth of Hcapture, LLC, who generously provided his services pro bono, recognizing her dedication and passion for entrepreneurship.
